American air treatment makers
Every line below is a quote from the manufacturer, with the page it came from and the date it was read.
| Manufacturer | Origin | The maker’s own words |
|---|---|---|
| Air King AmericaRecorded product by product | Made in USA, as claimed | This product meets the Made in America requirements of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act as a manufactured Good. |
| AIRCARECompany-level claim | Made in USA, with a qualifier | We are based in Little Rock, Arkansas, and virtually all our services for you are handled right here. |
A standard you can check, for the second time on this site
Air King says of a fan that "This product meets the Made in America requirements of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act as a manufactured Good", and links the guidance.
That is a claim with an outside definition attached. A shopper can go and read the Act rather than taking a phrase on trust, which is something almost no badge allows. The only other maker here who does this is Boulder Tool Belts, citing the Berry Amendment on the bag shelf.
Most, and the sentence above it
AIRCARE qualifies its own claim with one word: "Our manufacturing team builds most of our units right here", in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Higher up the same page is a sentence with no qualifier at all, saying the company has manufactured humidifiers for more than 85 years and is based in Arkansas. A reader skimming would leave with more than the page supports, which is why the narrower sentence is the one this entry is labelled from.
