American-made gifts
These guides recommend products rather than brands, because a brand being American says very little about the thing in the box. Lodge, whose skillet is in the cooks guide, makes some of its range in the USA and imports Dutch ovens made in China or Vietnam, and a list that names only the company leaves you to find out which one you bought.
So every gift in these guides passed a narrower test. The maker's own page has to say, about that specific product, where it was made. The words are quoted on each card, with a link to the page and the date it was read. Where the maker qualifies the claim, with imported parts or materials, the qualifier is printed in full beside it.

There are no affiliate links on these pages, and no maker paid to appear. Each link goes to the product on the maker's own site.
Every price here was read from the maker's own site on the date shown, and prices change. Nothing on this page promises a delivery date: if a gift has to arrive by Christmas, check the maker's own shipping deadline before ordering.
How the origin claims are checked is set out in full on the page about who actually made it.
