American tool manufacturers
Every line below is a quote from the manufacturer, with the page it came from and the date it was read.

| ZippoCompany-level claim | Made in USA, as claimed | All Zippo windproof lighters are American made in our Bradford, PA factory. |
Two companies that put a number on it
Most makers say "most" or "the vast majority". Wright Tool says "over 99% of Wright branded products are manufactured in the USA", and then goes on to describe the part that is not. A percentage can be wrong, but it can also be checked, and it tells a buyer how big the exception is.
Estwing does the same job in one sentence without arithmetic: the all-steel hammers and axes are American, made with American steel, and "a select number of other items are imported". The exception sits in the same paragraph as the claim rather than on another page.
Where the claim names the product
Zippo's statement covers the windproof lighters specifically, in its Bradford, Pennsylvania factory. Benchmade's covers every knife it makes, in Oregon City. Both are recorded against what they actually name, not against the whole catalogue.
