Nobody asked. The company separates its two materials and gives a different answer for each, on its own page, unprompted.
| Product | Origin | The maker’s own words |
|---|---|---|
| Wooden toys | Made in USA, as claimed | All of our wooden toys are 100% made here in the United States. Our workshop is in our hometown of Madrid, Iowa. All of our lumber is sourced from Iowa and the Midwest. The few parts that we do not make ourselves such as wood rings are made by companies in Texas, Illinois, Ohio, and Maine. |
| Silicone parts | Made outside the USA | We use a 100% food-grade silicone that is manufactured in China and 3rd party safety tested here in the USA along with all of our wood toys. There are no fillers or additives in our silicone. We've used the same 2 small manufactures in China since we introduced silicone parts to our toys, they are small factories that we talk to often! The silicone is: Lead Free, BPA Free, Cadmium Free, Mercury Free, Phthalate Free, FDA approved, CCPSA approved, LFGB approved, SGS approved, CPSIA compliant, have ASTM International Certification and CE Certification. |
Why answering by material is the right shape here
A wooden toy with a silicone teether on it is two products in a buyer's hand and one product in a shop. A company answering at the level of the toy has to pick which material to describe, and picking the wood would be true and incomplete.
Bannor answers at the level of the material instead, which is the only way the sentence comes out both true and complete. The wood is American and the lumber is regional. The silicone is Chinese and is tested here.
The reading nearly did not happen
This page answered HTTP 429 on the first attempt and had been filed as blocked, which on this site means a page nobody has read rather than a company that will not say. A paced retry got it.
A rate limit is not an answer and must never be recorded as one. Bannor's disclosure is one of the better ones in this directory, and for a day it was sitting behind a server saying "not now" to a machine that was asking too fast.
